24x48x1. In Monroe, Lousiana there is a place called The Garden District. It is like something out of my favorite movie, Steel Magnolias. In front of every historic house, there are dozens of these giant, lush, glowing green bushes covered in the most stunning bright pink hibiscus flowers. It was a clear, sunny day the day I was there with a deep blue sky. We ate these giant pancakes in a classic little restaurant called "The Diner" where everything was deep copper.
That experience made up the color palette for this painting. It is priced significantly less because it is a 1-inch thick deep canvas so the sides are much thinner. All of my canvases are 1.5 inches thick unless otherwise noted.
The light green tones in this painting are glow in the dark paint.
