Sapphire stimulates concentration, brings brightness and joy. Blue is always your color to me. Maybe it is all of our time together with the ocean, or your eyes, or your blue mermaid, your blue highlights in your hair. It would be strange to paint you something in a different color. Sapphire also represents abundance, blessings and gifts. The love you have given me and how that has changed my life is symbolic of that representation.  

This painting to me looks like a strike of lightning - a thought, an action, a decision - that is so powerful that the initial movement and shift of the center affects every perception of space and time around it. Much like your decision to love other people (like me.) I think in the end, when we go back to the stars, all we see is how brave enough we were to love. Thank you for loving me. I hope this painting will always be a reminder of how bright you are to so many. A visual of the kind of power you are capable of and how it impacts everyone around you, when you ask for nothing in return.
