24x48 Gold Gold Gold. I grew up watching the movie overboard with Goldie Hawn. When I got married I insisted that I have the exact same gold sequined ball gown that she had in the last scene of the movie, when she jumps off the yacht, as my wedding dress. I got a cheap one in the mail & a baby blue studded jacket with matching combat boots. Sparkle, and gold, and not fitting in is what speaks to me. I spent a quiet Sunday three weeks ago painting this, remembering the frequency of the complicated fear of being the center of attention, joy for the present and hope for the future.
