There is a frequency that coexists as a balance between floating high above and the instant of impact when diving deep into the water below. Where you can’t see but can only feel the movement of change. Everything, everywhere all at once. To me, this sensation is every color and texture combined. At peace in the balance of the bridge between before and beyond. It’s a place I’ve been pushing boulders up a mountain to get to for years. Now that I’m at the top, boulders in place, I know who I am. This has cost me knowing who I was.
“As above, so below.” She used to tell me. Her middle and index finger resting on her temple.
“I don’t know what that means” - my blunt response.
“What is done in one realm impacts all others. Every single thing is interconnected. That’s why it’s impossible to perceive the extent of your power in the limitations of this body and mind. It is your job on this planet to create and find the connections. Even when all you think you have is separation, and that all you’re capable of is isolation.”
Maybe the truth is that all consciousness and experience exists together at the same time. Battle and surrender. Connection and isolation. The voice and the silence. Courage and fear.
Life and death. Horrific loss and the awareness that only it can give. We can be the infant, the crone and the angel ascended all at once. Or progress and complacency in the same instant. How many different worlds are playing out for how many different people, and what kind of scars resilience or connection will surface as a result? Maybe we live and die simultaneously every second and it’s so consuming deciding which perspective to pick that we rarely stop and look up, down, back, or forward.
Or maybe that’s just me. Because any time I get to my perception of the other side I’ve followed myself there. The parts of myself I imagine myself as free of once I get to wherever I’m going.
The only way out is through and we’ve come so far, with so far to go still. As above, so below.
What if we’re already on the other side we just weren’t paying attention when we were doing everything we thought we had to do to get here?
