36x36 Resin coated acrylic/ canvas/ all of the bombshell shatters. Sold & living in NYC next to the WTC memorial. Here is my story of who she is, Maureen. 

I haven’t yet painted a piece that is so mystical in her relationship with what it embodies to be grounded but of the sky. Your spirit to me feels like a light in the fog, a warmth in the winter, an illuminated figure of grace, rooted in strength. You feel like deep autumn comfort but look and move freely like the bright of summer. Unafraid, you don’t play small. You know your worth. You know your power, and you claim what is yours. Your beauty is like a spell that you carry with tremendous self-sufficiency and empowerment - you have worked hard to carve this personality through all of life's lessons in adversity and equanimity. 

Nobody is going to come along and change you. You know your goals and while you are driven, you remain open to what is next. You aren’t afraid to follow the signs, even if the information isn’t exactly what you had planned. This has already taken you so far, and you are still so young!!

I was so thrilled when her colors revealed themselves to me because they are all perfectly you. The brightness of the white (equanimity) is highlighted by the darker shades of black (adversity.) The sparkling of the golds and silvers are your natural drop-dead gorgeousness, inside and out - that create such an important and unique feeling of wholeness and illuminated grace within the structure. You are often the rock and structure of the situation. You bring grace and harmony to this role that is rare. The crimson is your depth and heart that you bring to so many, and the shattered glass is all of the life lessons that maybe felt like a damn mess at the time - but are truly at the center of your spiritual expansion. 

Her movement is expansive and grounding. As I grow into my work I am learning to let go more and allow bigger blocks of movement into the art. It is something that takes confidence. Because of the way that you are grounded but open and unafraid to keep moving through life to create the life you want - you have allowed me to grow more and allow a more fluid rhythm of movement. Thank you for your confidence. This painting will be the very first to go live in New York City. It is such a symbolic excitement of so many more things to come. Thank you for being the first, and having faith in my career. Thank you for your beautiful consciousness that allowed me to bring her forth with these colors, this frequency and this sense of movement and unity. 

There are two figures in the painting that appear to share a heart (the shattered glass, the lessons.) These figures represent the you that is going about your daily life experiences. The second figure is your higher self. Your Higher Self is the you that is unlimited and eternal. It’s the part of you that excites you with inspiration, guides you with intuition, and teaches you through insight. Both share a heart, a structure, and movement. 

I listen to mostly Stevie Nicks when I paint and here I was, in my process when Rhiannon came on. The whole vibe of the mysterious and luscious song really reminded me of you. I thought ugh it’s too bad that Rhiannon is so famous that to name her that would take away from the piece. But honestly, Libra Scorpio cusp that you are, the lyrics and groundedness of the melody would be a perfect sound painting for the visual I was intending to create. I kept painting and listened to the song on repeat about 5 times. At the very end, Stevie sings “Taken by, taken by the sky” three times before the song ends. 

Suddenly my whole body lit up with chills and thus, her name was revealed to me. I texted you right away to laugh. It is an honor to create something for you that so beautifully portrays all of the grace and beauty, grounded rockness meeting a starlit sky that you have brought to my perception and my life. You are literally OF THE SKY these days. I hope that when you see this painting you smile and know that your higher self is always right there with you, bringing you movement, adding some glitter, and riding this version of your spirit in this life.
