I had reached out to Heather about a year ago and asked if she would be willing to create a piece for my home. I gave her some colors and vibes that my wife and I liked and didn’t like but just asked that she create something she wanted to as we wished to support her creative endeavors and process. She knew about how close my recently passed grandmother and I had been, so she asked some questions about family, life, who we are and what we enjoy and off she went to create. Now, I will say upfront, I knew the quality of her work and knew I would be happy with any piece she made. HOWEVER, nothing could prepare for what the end result was: a moving, and gripping tribute to my grandmother that I find myself getting lost in regularly as I discover hidden secrets within the frame. This piece graces my home and always will, with a lovely artist statement included to remind me not only of the beauty of Heather’s creative process, but also her invitation to include us in that process beyond the canvas. Eternal gratitude to Heather for this wonderful part of our lives and home.

Confession Dial - 24x30 Receiving Heather Pond’s art is an experience felt by the heart. We asked Heather to create a custom painting for our awaited son’s nursery. What we received was more than art, it was love. Heather’s caring intentions vibrate off her work. She is truly amazing. I would highly recommend having your own experience receiving a piece of art from Heather. You will be moved.

Bigger than the whole moon and all the stars - 16x20 We commissioned Heather to create a piece for Sarah’s (our daughter) room in late 2020. Explaining that it would be for our child’s room, it was clear that both should connect and discuss Sarah’s hopes for the piece.
It was fun to watch Heather garner insight from Sarah on that, and exciting to watch both of them carry-on a friendship over the coming months. As she gathered further and further information from Sarah, Heather seemed to glean inspiration and understanding of Sarah’s spirit as well as her vision; the anticipation of the piece’s completion grew for all of us.
Heather quietly asked my wife and I to write a few words about Sarah for the piece. My assumption was that she would incorporate this somehow into the “art’ of the piece. What I wasn’t expecting was the impact that adding those words to the back of the piece would mean to me; rounding out a piece of legacy art that Sarah can carry with her for the rest of her life. Taking this piece wherever the world may take her: her first apartment, her lifetime home and maybe later she will be able to pass it to her own children. Ultimately pulling every emotional tear out of this sappy Dad.
The art is what we will have for a lifetime but the relationship we built with Heather has become something we value even more. It was exciting to hear that she would like to deliver the piece personally, driving from her home in SoCal to ours in Las Vegas. When she arrived, she was kind enough to spend time telling us what the piece meant to her and the stories around creating it, bringing the project fully to life. Although it is in our daughter’s room, Heather’s piece is a showcase of our home, that will be cherished for decades to come!

Blue Iris - 48x36 It is so hard to describe in words the feelings I had when opening up my work of art from Heather Pond. Let me start by saying this was a complete surprise to me. It was my 30th birthday and I had no idea that my husband had been planning this commission. This was a very special project. I own two other works of art by Heather and was talking to him one day about this idea I had. I have struggled with body image my entire life and wanted to have Heather make me something beautiful to look at and have next to my mirror instead of focusing so much on my own reflection. I know her work is powerful, I always say her paintings give our house super powers. I was in shock when I went to unwrap my masterpiece. Metallic pink wrapping paper wrapped up like the prettiest present I have ever received. An envelope containing the most beautiful in depth story that touched the very depths of my soul. And the painting. The painting left me completely speechless. It continues to leave me speechless daily and is such a light in my world having it in my home. Getting a commissioned piece from Heather is truly an experience. I was on the receiving end and let me tell you it was the greatest birthday present I have EVER received. With Heather it’s not just about the art, it’s about the entire process. The way she makes you feel the entire world spins for you when you open the box. When you peel back the paper, when you read her words and feel her soul in everything she does. Her art is true solid gold, I am privileged to own and look forward to many more to come.

I AM - 16x20 My wife and I have been fans of Heather’s work for quite a while. I decided to surprise her for her birthday with a commissioned art piece. But not just a piece that is beautiful, a piece that also has meaning behind it. I described to Heather the reason why I wanted this painting so she could use her energy and her art work and put it together as one. Heather asked me if there was anything specifically I would want in the painting. All I said is I wanted her to work her magic and put her energy into creating a piece to help my wife with self image. With a short deadline, Heather was able to create an art piece that was absolutely magical. Most of all, something that helps my wife every morning with body image, self acceptance, and brings warming, positive energy into our home. As soon as I am able to, I will most definitely be purchasing an additional piece from Heather. As for now we have three pieces, and I am a forever proud collector of Heather Pond artwork.

Free People - 24x36 My wife had noticed Heather was making art and loved it. I noticed my wife looking at sites and apps to try and find a comparable piece because Heather had sold the ones she wanted. I’m lucky enough to be an old friend of Heather’s so I reached out to see if she would consider painting us a commissioned piece. It would be our first and a great surprise for Leeann my wife. Thankfully Heather agreed and what came of it is pure magic. She captured our family in colors and visible emotion and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’ll never forget sharing the gift with my wife and the excitement and tears she experienced upon opening the package. I feel extra cool having something of Heather’s collection. She has always been rad and is only getting more bad ass with time.

BLOOM - 48x48 This girl…. Wow. Not only did she find a way to put my personality on canvas, Heather put so much of herself into my painting you can feel her radiating off of it too. I have been watching her grow and find strength and confidence in her craft, and I selfishly wanted to get in before she blew up. I had just sold everything I owned and moved to NYC, and although I was just arriving to start a new career here, I had a really exciting feeling of “I made it”. So I wanted to celebrate myself and invest in my first real piece of art commemorating that feeling and that moment in my life. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. Heather will pour her heart and soul into each piece. I have only seen a few moments of her process but she throws herself into it and gives you so much more than you would ever ask of anyone. To have someone focus on you and your energy this much felt therapeutic. This is literally my favorite material possession. The only thing that will follow me through life and forever be an encapsulated moment, feeling, reminder of absolute joy and fear and excitement of who I was and what was happening around me. I can’t thank you enough Heather.
