It changes you. The way you can look out at a valley and witness nothing man made for as far as you can see. Standing in the expansive silence, grounded in perfection. The Earth meets the sky as the lines between rooted and weightless blur. The age old question of “What am I, really?” seems to be answered in this vision. Seemingly without words. . 

It isn’t a thought that answers, it's a feeling. A familiar song long forgotten. Bison symbolism is a reminder that you always have everything you need. It also means that your attitude towards abundance influences the rest of this planet. Moreover, this beast teaches us that wealth is present if you honor everything as sacred.  You will always have plenty when you express gratitude to every part of creation.

 I know how you love shopping, and how every season you decorate your shelves with all different figurines and objects that represent that season. They are always experty arranged. It makes me want to know the story of everything you’ve placed where, the story of how it came into your life. I think that in many years to come, when you Grandchildren look back on their lives - they will remember how you meticulously and thoughtfully decorated the house for every season. 

The bison are represented in the brown (grounded) and gold ( spiritual) tones of the movement of this art.Green was the most important - it represents the heart chakra which is always so present and alive in nature.  Various blue tones represent the water of the Lamar river as it flows throughout the valley. Water is a metaphor for emotion - the expansive stillness of the water in all of the photos you sent me is a beautiful portrait of an outward reflection of your own peace, and how at your core you want to share that with others. Red was added to highlight the root chakra, which is all about home and belonging. Turquoise to honor our native tribes and relatives that walked those valleys before us, and the light orange our ability to just allow ourselves to be human. The silver is specifically representing the wolf. 

The wolf  is a symbol of guardianship, ritual, loyalty, and spirit. Wolf has the ability to make quick and firm emotional attachments, and often need to trust their own instincts. Thus they teach us to do the same, to trust our hearts and minds, and have control over our own lives.

I believe that spiritual principles, like the wind, are immortal. All of the things that speak to you through your own spirit become an out-picturing of the movement of this valley. So I wanted to re-create that for you to have in your home. A way to remind you that all of the things you love plus what they represent- is really just you creating that magic. 

It changes you, the way that you can have a sacred conversation with the wind and the movement it creates. The symbols of nature that you love so much are the pieces of you that you extend to your loved ones and with even more work, you learn to extend to yourself. 

I have included a full wolf moon to represent the heart of your painting. She symbolizes inspiration, self-reflection, gratitude, and rest. I think that often you beat yourself up for resting. Remember, it’s ok to rest, to dream, to be flexible with your time. It’s ok to be wrong and admit it. Mistakes and broken pieces are some of the most important aspects of how we learn and build our hearts. Your heart is mighty strong and illuminated like a full glittering moon.
